Control Lab of Food, Drinking, Cosmetic & Hygienic

 

 

Rafsanjan Control Lab of Food, Drinking, Cosmetic & Hygienic is one of the units affiliated to the Vice-chancellor of Food and Drug of the Medical Sciences University. In 1998, it began its first activity in controlling Aflatoxin in a variety of foods, one of the most widely considered and most important groups of food supplements. At first, it began with only one HPLC machine in the toxicology sector for the export of pistachios and pistachios, and the issuance of certificates for export to Europe.

Now, with the deployment of numerous and advanced devices in accordance with the latest achievements of the day in all parts of the laboratory and construction, and all units have very high capabilities in the control of food, especially the control of factory products of factories established in Rafsanjan. Considering the fact that the city of Rafsanjan is considered the most important pistachio region in the country due to its geographical location and environment. It’s also one of the major centers for pistachio exports. For this purpose, with the equipping of the Toxicology Section of the Food Lab, it is the most advanced and precise device for testing and analyzing the levels of Aflatoxin, as well as the use of experienced and skilled experts in technology of the day. It consider one of the most unique laboratories in the country, but also universally.

Rafsanjan food control records its quality management system by establishing and implementing a laboratory management system, based on ISO / IEC 17025: 2005 standard and the professional principles of laboratory activities, documents its quality management system. This system describes all the processes and responsibilities that are relevant to the work of laboratories and will confirm that all work processes are planned and controlled. The most important task of the laboratory is to control the health of food (eating and drinking) and cosmetics in terms of physical, chemical and microbiological and organoleptic quality.

 

The Rafsanjan Lab is currently divided into three major sections.

1- Chemistry Department

2- Microbiology Department

3. Toxicology Department
