The university started its activity in 1365 by accepting students under the supervision of Kerman University of Medical Sciences in the fields of nursing and medicine. In 1370, it gained independence and continued its activities as the Faculty of Medical Sciences, and finally, in 1371, an agreement was made in principle to transform the faculty into a university, and the Faculty of Medical Sciences was transformed into the Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services. This university has seven vice-chancellors, which include development and management vice-chancellor, medical vice-chancellor, food and drug vice-chancellor, health vice-chancellor, educational vice-chancellor, research and technology vice-chancellor, and student and cultural vice-chancellor.
