INTRODUCTION

Occupational Environment Research Center (OERC) of Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences successfully obtained an initial establishment license on 23 Feb. 2011. The OERC has received final approval from the Research and Technology Deputy of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran on 19 Dec. 2016, based on the vote issued in the 260th meeting. The center conducts research on environmental, occupational and social issues affecting health of the environment and occupation environment. Moreover, the center conducts research on occupational diseases, environmental problems, environmental and occupational pollutants. Furthermore, the intent of this center is to produce valid scientific evidence that supports a broad range of national and international interest in the field of environmental health and occupational safety, which can be used by planners and policy makers to implement intervention programs to solve health problems and issues at a regional and national level.
